Terms of use

Terms of Use

Welcome to Fellow Hope. By accessing or using our platform you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fellow Hope platform, including any websites, mobile experiences, content, and services we offer (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Fellow Hope is an online fundraising platform that connects organizers running campaigns with donors who want to support them. We are not a charity, payment processor, broker, or financial institution.

2. Definitions

"We", "us", "our" refers to Fellow Hope and any affiliates operating the Services.

"You", "user" refers to anyone who visits, browses, donates through, or creates a campaign on the Services.

"Organizer" means a user who creates a fundraiser through the platform.

"Donor" means a user who contributes funds to a fundraiser.

"Beneficiary" means the person, group, or cause intended to receive the funds raised.

"Fundraiser" or "Campaign" means a fundraising page created on the platform.

3. The Services We Provide

Fellow Hope offers tools that allow Organizers to publish campaigns, share them with potential supporters, and coordinate the receipt of donations through trusted external payment partners. We provide hosting, content moderation, basic analytics, and communication tools to make giving accessible.

We do not investigate the truthfulness of claims made by Organizers, do not guarantee that funds will be used as described, and do not endorse any campaign or Beneficiary. You acknowledge that donations are made at your own risk.

4. Eligibility Requirements

To use the Services you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement in your country of residence. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements.

Fellow Hope currently does not require account creation. By submitting a campaign or donating, you provide accurate contact information and agree that we may use it to coordinate the campaign or the donation transfer.

We may refuse, restrict, or suspend the use of the Services for any user at our sole discretion, including for suspected violation of these Terms.

5. Payment Processors

Fellow Hope does not store or process card or bank information directly on its servers. After a donation intent is submitted on the Services, our team coordinates the transfer with the Donor and Organizer through external payment partners (e.g., bank transfers, regulated processors).

Your relationship with any payment partner is governed by that partner's own terms and privacy policy. Fellow Hope is not responsible for the actions, fees, or failures of third-party payment partners.

6. User Responsibilities and Obligations

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all content you submit, including campaign descriptions, photos, goals, and contact details.

Organizers must use funds received in a manner consistent with the campaign's stated purpose, and must communicate with Donors honestly. Donors must contribute funds they are legally entitled to use.

7. Transfers, Holds, Returns & Chargebacks

Donations are intended to be final. We may, at our discretion, hold or refund a contribution if we suspect fraud, terms violations, or if requested by a payment partner.

If a Donor initiates a chargeback through their bank, we cooperate with the investigation and may suspend transfers to the related campaign until it is resolved. Repeat chargebacks may result in account-level restrictions.

8. Prohibited Fundraisers and Related User Content

You may not create or promote fundraisers that, in our sole judgment, involve:

  • Illegal activities, violence, hate speech, or content that exploits minors;
  • Weapons, ammunition, drugs, regulated substances, or counterfeit goods;
  • Gambling, lotteries, or sweepstakes;
  • Misrepresentation of identity, location, or beneficiary;
  • Political advertising in jurisdictions where prohibited;
  • Content that infringes third-party rights, including intellectual property.

9. Prohibited User Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Services to harass, threaten, or impersonate others; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services; (c) interfere with the platform's normal operation; (d) collect personal information of other users without consent; or (e) use the Services to launder money or evade taxes.

10. Content Moderation and Reporting Fundraisers

We review every campaign before it goes live and continuously monitor activity once published. Decisions about whether content remains visible are made at our discretion.

If you believe a campaign violates these Terms, please report it through the in-page report link or via our Contact us page. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

11. Fees

Fellow Hope charges a 0% platform fee. The full amount donated, minus any fees charged by external payment partners (when applicable), is delivered to the Organizer.

Donors are invited to leave an optional tip to support the platform. Tips are voluntary and clearly labeled as such on the donation page.

12. Intellectual Property Rights, Content Ownership and Licenses

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Services (including text, images, video). By submitting content, you grant Fellow Hope a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services.

The Fellow Hope name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property and may not be used without prior written permission.

13. Data Privacy

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Services you consent to the data practices described there.

We do not sell personal data. We share information only with the payment partners and service providers necessary to operate the platform.

14. Artificial Intelligence

We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with content moderation, fraud detection, customer support, and translation. AI-assisted decisions remain subject to human review whenever they affect a campaign's visibility or a transfer.

You may not use the Services in ways that abuse, manipulate, or attempt to evade our automated detection systems.

15. Third-Party Services and Content

The Services may contain links to or rely on third-party services (payment partners, analytics, hosting, social-sharing tools). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of any third-party content or service. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and is governed by the terms and privacy policies of those services.

16. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate any user's access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as IP licenses, indemnification, and disclaimers) will remain in effect.

17. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fellow Hope disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event will Fellow Hope be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

18. Indemnification and Release

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fellow Hope, its officers, employees, and partners from any claim, demand, loss, or expense arising out of (a) your use of the Services, (b) your content, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of another party.

19. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Services shall first be addressed informally through our Contact us page. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration in the jurisdiction in which Fellow Hope is registered, except where prohibited by local law.

You waive the right to participate in class actions to the maximum extent permitted by law.

20. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the platform. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

21. Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Fellow Hope regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

About

🌟 Our story

About Fellow Hope

A global community where compassion meets action. We believe that small acts of giving, multiplied by many, can transform lives.

Our mission

To make it simple for anyone, anywhere, to raise funds for what matters most — and for any donor to find causes worth believing in. We exist to amplify hope, one campaign at a time.

What we do

Fellow Hope is a fundraising platform connecting people who need help with people who want to make a difference. From medical emergencies and education to community projects and animal welfare, we host thousands of verified campaigns across more than 50 countries.

We provide the tools — secure payments, sharing features, and a trusted brand — so fundraisers can focus on telling their story, and donors can give with confidence.

Our values

Compassion

Every story matters. We treat every fundraiser and every donor with empathy.

Trust

Every campaign is verified. Every transaction is secure. Trust is non-negotiable.

Reach

Geography shouldn't limit hope. We connect donors and causes across borders.

Our story

Fellow Hope was born from a simple idea: when you need help, the world should be able to show up for you. What started as a small project to support a friend's medical treatment has grown into a global community where millions of donors come together to fund what they care about.

Today we host campaigns in more than 50 countries, in 12 languages, with one mission unchanged from day one — to make giving radically accessible.
